Post Bridge Alternative: Self-Hosted X + LinkedIn Scheduler

2026-11-017 min read

Post Bridge sells one thing well: connect fifteen accounts, publish everywhere in about thirty seconds, pay $39 a month. That is a fair deal for someone running a brand across ten networks. I opened their pricing page, did the division, and got a number that decides the purchase better than the sticker price does — what you pay per account you actually use. Publish to X and LinkedIn only, and you are buying thirteen seats you will never sit in.

What Post Bridge Charges Right Now

Two plans sit on post-bridge.com. Marketer runs $39/month for 15 connected accounts with unlimited posts, API access, MCP agent connect, carousels, and bulk video scheduling. Operator runs $99/month for 99 accounts minimum, then $1 per account after that, and adds team invites. Yearly billing throws in two months free.

Ten platforms work for both scheduled and instant posting: X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Bluesky, Threads, Pinterest, and Google Business. Entry is a 7-day trial.

Do the per-account math and the shape of the product shows up:

  • $39 for 15 accounts = $2.60 per account per month
  • $99 for 99 accounts = $1.00 per account per month
  • $39 for the 2 accounts I actually post to = $19.50 per account

That last line is the argument. Post Bridge is not overpriced. It is priced for breadth, and breadth is the exact thing an X + LinkedIn publisher does not need.

Read it as a boundary map, not a scoreboard. Socipub takes the two rows that matter to me and loses the one row that matters most if your audience lives on Instagram.

The Platforms You Give Up

Moving to Socipub costs you Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Bluesky, Threads, Pinterest, and Google Business. Eight networks leave the dashboard.

I will not pretend that is a small trade. When short video drives your growth, Post Bridge is the better product and this post is not written for you. The switch pays off when X and LinkedIn carry the calendar — developer audiences, B2B audiences, founders posting build logs. That is a real segment, and it is the only one where paying per account for nine unused networks stops being defensible.

What Open Source Buys You Beyond the Price

Twenty dollars a month is not the reason to care about a license. Two other things are.

The first is the audit trail. Social tokens are the most sensitive credentials most of us hand to a third party. With Socipub the code that touches them is readable, and the self-host path runs the same feature set rather than a crippled fork. You can verify what happens to an OAuth token instead of trusting a marketing page.

The second is exit cost. Every scheduler you cannot host can raise prices, retire a tier, or close. Third-party comparisons still list a $29 Creator tier that no longer appears on Post Bridge's own pricing page; the page now shows $39 Marketer. Prices move. Open source is the one subscription whose terms you can read before you need them. Our GDPR guide covers the compliance half of this.

Migrating Without Losing a Week

  1. Sign up free at Socipub and connect X plus LinkedIn. Five posts a month is the free ceiling — enough to run both tools in parallel without paying twice.
  2. Rebuild two weeks of planned posts by hand. Keep the queue in a spreadsheet as the source of truth so the next migration is a copy-paste instead of a typing session; the calendar template I use has twelve columns and stops there.
  3. Publish one post end-to-end, check both networks, then move the rest.
  4. Cancel Post Bridge at the end of the billing period, not the middle of it.

Run the free plan for a week while Post Bridge keeps publishing. If you miss Instagram by day three, that answers the question better than any table here — and the Postiz comparison covers the case where you need more networks but still want open source.
